Travis Hunter final stats: Snap count on offense, defense in Jaguars vs. Chiefs

JUMP TO:

In his first “Monday Night Football” game, Travis Hunter had a prominent role for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hunter started on both offense and defense, doing so for the the first time in his career.

As the Jaguars won their fourth game of the year, Hunter produced on both sides of the ball, which included the biggest reception of his young career. The rookie ended the game 64 receiving yards on three catches while also playing 25 snaps on defense.

Overall, Hunter’s expanded role is a positive sign for the future, as Jacksonville tries to figure out how to use him moving forward. Hunter saw more action in two-wide receiver sets and also made multiple plays on defense.

Now, Jacksonville’s success should surely make it easier to keep incorporating Hunter on both sides of the ball. As a wide receiver, Hunter still seems to be learning the position, so all of the reps on offense are good learning opportunities.

The Sporting News tracked Hunter’s performance throughout the Jaguars’ Week 5 clash with the Chiefs. Here’s how he did.
