Tottenham receive massive boost in pursuit of Premier League star

Tottenham made their first big signing under Thomas Frank by securing Mohammed Kudus, and the club is not stopping yet.

Frank is still looking to bolster the club’s attack even more, especially with potential outgoings coming from the attacking unit.

The Europa League champions have been linked to several attackers, and Frank has now been given a positive update on one of his targets, Yoane Wissa.

What is the latest update on Wissa’s status at Brentford?

According to reports from BBC Sport, Wissa has left Brentford’s preseason camp in Portugal and returned to London to discuss his future.

Tottenham has been linked heavily with Wissa, especially since Frank coached the forward at Brentford.

The Bees have approached Wissa about extending his contract, but he would prefer a move away from Brentford.

Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are also seriously considering a move for the forward, the former having had a bid rejected for Wissa already.

Wissa scored 19 goals and had four assists in the Premier League last season, which could be a big boost to Tottenham’s attack, especially in the Champions League.

Brentford would be unlucky to see both Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo leave the club this summer, but it could be within the club’s best interest to cash in on Wissa while they can.
