Tommy Fleetwood has finally done it.
After many heartbreaking finishes that saw Fleetwood come up short, the 34-year-old finally won his first PGA Tour event on Sunday. Amazingly, it came at the TOUR Championship, making Fleetwood the season-long champion on the PGA Tour.
Fleetwood joined the PGA Tour in 2018 and has played in 164 events since. In that span, he has six runner-up finishes, six third-place finishes, 30 top-five finishes and 44 top-10 finishes. He also reached as high as No. 9 in the Official World Golf Rankings, but currently sits in the No. 10 spot.
Fleetwood entered the weekend No. 5 in the FedEx Cup Standings, but was the only player in the top eight without a win during the 2025 season. That shows how well Fleetwood has played this year despite being unable to pull off a victory.
However, Fleetwood’s inability to come out on top is now over, as he finally won his first tournament on United States soil. He finished at -18, winning by a margin of three strokes over Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley.Â

Has Tommy Fleetwood ever won a tournament?
Coming into this week, Fleetwood had never won a golf tournament on the PGA Tour or in the major tournaments. However, he has won seven times on the DP World Tour, most recently in the 2024 Dubai Invitational, along with getting wins on both the Sunshine Tour and the Challenge Tour.
Still, his lack of success on the PGA Tour and in majors had become a huge talking point among golf fans, as Fleetwood is among the best players to never win one or the other.
