The OKC Thunder are one win away from their second-ever trip to the NBA Finals, needing a win in Game 5 of the West Finals vs the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After getting dominated through the first two games, Minnesota finally found the competitive level needed against the West’s top seed, but still finds itself down 3-1.
We’re suspecting a solid last stand by the Timberwolves in one of the toughest arenas to play at, with a home team hungry to close things out.
We’ve taken that into consideration as we share our three favorite NBA player props for Game 5.

Timberwolves vs. Thunder Best Prop Picks for Game 5
Shai Gilgeous Alexander Over 32.5 points (-120 at Bet365)
At this point, I don’t really know what to tell you other than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is delivering like the MVP he is.
After getting shelled in Game 3 and turning out his lowest output of the playoffs, SGA got back to the business of dominating, pouring in a playoff-high 40 points and making all the right moves in a 128-126 win in Game 4.
He’s now dropped at least 31 points in three of four games this series, and even with the focal point of Minnesota’s defense on him, he is getting to his spots and scoring at will.
He’s scored 33 points or more in six games these playoffs, missing it by a single bucket on three other occasions.
Minnesota might survive to play another game, but they’re going to have to do it by taking the MVP’s best shot Wednesday night.
Lu Dort Over 1.5 3-point makes (-145 at Bet365)
He’s been busy harassing Anthony Edwards all over the court, including a master class on defense in Game 4, but we’re taking a flier on Lu Dort’s offense in Game 5.
Dort is shooting a rough 29.3% from 3-point range in the playoffs, which is down from his career-best 41.2% clip during the regular season.
However, if there is a time to bet on him, where his 1.5 3-point make line seems gettable, it would be at home.
Dort has connected on two triples in six of eight home games in these playoffs, and missed hitting the Over by a single make in both of the other games.
He is shooting 35.3% from beyond the arc in this series, the best rate of any round in these playoffs. Look for him to find the 3-point range in Game 5.
Rudy Gobert Under 7.5 points (-125 at Bet365)
Unless the guy is grabbing every board and blocking every shot, Minnesota just can’t afford to play with a minus offensive player out there against OKC.
Unfortunately, all the things that are wrong with Rudy’s game are put on blast at Paycom Center.
Gobert has scored a combined seven points in two games at OKC in the West Finals, showing just 3-for-8 from the floor in those games.
The Thunder are just too quick at swiping at any dump-down passes to Gobert, and he’s not a lob threat when the T-Wolves are attacking the rim.
There’s just too much evidence to show Gobert won’t be a factor on the road in Game 5.
