What type of historic night did Minnesota have in Game 3?

The Timberwolves put the ‘primetime’ in ABC Saturday night primetime NBA basketball.

They set a franchise record with 143 points, shattering their previous mark of 130 from three postseasons ago.

Minnesota also had one of the best turnarounds after a loss in playoff history.

After losing the last game by 15 points, their 42-point margin of victory on Saturday gives them a 57 point swing from Game 2 to Game 3.

The last time we saw a mark that was slightly bigger than that was back in the 1956 NBA playoffs when the Minneapolis Lakers won by 58 points the game after losing by one point (59 point swing).

Although the Timberwolves did lose the two opening games of the series, as long as they can protect homecourt and go back to OKC tied 2-2, they should have a shot in the series.

Edwards continued his hot stretch of Game 3s this postseason, finishing with 30 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and shot 70.6 FG% (12/17).
