Both teams slayed some giants to get to this point. The Thunder somehow stifled three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, prevailing in a knock-down, drag-out seven game series. SGA poured in 35 points in the Game 7 clincher, while Jalen Williams scored 17 of his 24 points in a second-quarter beatdown.
The Wolves, meanwhile, issued a gentleman’s sweep to LeBron James, Luka Doncic and the Lakers in the first round, and then won the exact same way against Jimmy Butler and the Warriors after Steph Curry got injured midway through the semis. Julius Randle has been playing the best basketball of his career alongside Edwards, who continues to serve as one of the best pure scorers in the sport.
Both these teams have top-five defenses and loads of capable scorers. Who will advance to the 2025 NBA Finals? Time will tell, and it should be a fantastic best-of-seven series.
