Three first-team Man Utd stars set to visit India after final Premier League clash

Just days after their Premier League campaign ends, three Manchester United stars are heading to Mumbai.

Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, and Diogo Dalot will be in India on May 29 to kick off the fifth season of United We Play, a football development program run by Apollo Tyres in partnership with the club.

The visit is more than just a photoshoot and a handshake.

These players will help launch a grassroots football initiative that has already touched the lives of thousands across India and beyond.

From helping young talents get better training to simply spending time with passionate fans, the goal is clear — take football closer to the people, especially where the future stars are still playing barefoot on dusty pitches.

As goalkeeper Andre Onana put it, “We are looking forward to engaging with everyone in India to launch the new season of United We Play and promote our sport to the next generation of stars. We are also excited to see the fans over there, to thank them for their passionate and loyal support.”

The program, now in its fifth season, is not just staying within India. It has already expanded into cities like Kathmandu, Bangkok, Dhaka, and Dubai.

In the previous season alone, over 15,000 young footballers took part across 18 Indian cities. With more than 100 coaches involved through virtual Manchester United Soccer Schools, the plan is to raise the bar — and maybe even discover India’s own version of Bruno Fernandes.

Back in 2022, United stars like David De Gea and Donny van de Beek visited Goa for the same cause. This time, it’s the towering presence of Maguire, the kind-of-reliable Dalot, and the high-energy Onana who’ll inspire the kids.

So, as the curtains fall on another Premier League season, it’s not just transfers and trophies on the agenda — it’s talent, training, and a trip to India.
