The Browns and Steelers have the same problem

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns are both in a tough spot.

Really, that tough spot boils down to this: In a four-team division, they aren’t the teams that have Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson at quarterback.

That means that Pittsburgh and Cleveland need to nail it across the board otherwise to have a chance to compete for the AFC North title.

And in one area, they’re both lacking: No. 2 wide receiver.

ESPN’s AFC North writers broke down the division on Friday, and the Steelers and Browns’ biggest question marks were both said to be the WR2 spot.

Each team has one star: DK Metcalf for the Steelers and Jerry Jeudy for the Browns.

Beyond that, though? Blah.

Calvin Austin is favored to beat out Robert Woods and Roman Wilson in Pittsburgh.

In Cleveland, it’s probably Cedric Tillman ahead of Diontae Johnson or Jamari Thrash.

But none of those names inspire a ton of confidence.

Pittsburgh traded George Pickens to Dallas. Cleveland let Elijah Moore walk, and he signed with Buffalo.

And now, these offenses might just be a bit too limited on the perimeter.
