Prediction
Three-weight world champion and local heroine Terri Harper defends her WBO lightweight championship to her mandatory contender, Natalie Zimmermann, an unbeaten German.
For Harper, headlining her local football stadium is a dream come true, but 42-year-old Zimmermann has also shared that it has been her dream to land a fight like this.
Zimmermann is unbeaten, but also untested and inexperienced. She has yet to face an opponent with a winning record. However, she is busy and fit, spending every minute of her waking life on fitness, whether that’s in boxing training, yoga, running, weights, stretching, mindfulness and wellbeing. It’s her life. So she will be as fit as a fiddle and ready to go the full distance.
Harper is not only the hometown favourite, the 28-year-old is also a whole level above her challenger, having fought against the best names in the world, such as Sandy Ryan, Natasha Jones, Ivana Habazin, Alycia Baumgardner, Cecilia Braekhus and many more.
Harper will likely trump Zimmermann in every department to win the fight, most likely on points, but could also stop Zimmermann in the later rounds if she is able to dominate like she is widely expected to.
