Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is on the move.
We just don’t know KD’s landing spot yet.
Hours following an idea birthed by The Ringer’s Bill Simmons that the San Antonio Spurs may have already agreed in principle to a Durant trade with Phoenix, another noted NBA podcaster — Yahoo’s Kevin O’Connor — laid out what the Spurs’ package for Durant could look like.
O’Connor did so during an episode of The Kevin O’Connor Show.
“Fake trade idea for Kevin Durant,” O’Connor presented to his guest, Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

“Something along the lines of, Jeremy Sochan, Harrison Barnes, Keldon Johnson, and the (No. 14) pick.”
For what it’s worth, Mannix said that he’d do the trade if he was the Suns.
Here’s a breakdown of the salary situation for each player in San Antonio’s package…
Sochan (22 years old):
2025-26: $7.1M
2026-27: Restricted free agent
Barnes (33 years old):
2025-26: $19M
2026-27: Unrestricted free agent
Johnson (25 years old):
2025-26: $17.5M
2026-27: $17.5M
2027-28: Unrestricted free agent
And what kind of value does the No. 14 pick in the upcoming draft hold?
Here’s a short list of notable players who might be available at No. 14:
– Duke’s Khaman Maluach (highly unlikely)
– Maryland’s Derik Queen (unlikely)
– UConn’s Liam McNeeley
– Georgetown’s Thomas Sorber (likely)
– Michigan State’s Jase Richardson (likely)
– Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr. (surely)
