It has been a frustrating summer transfer window for Bayern Munich as they have struggled to sign any of their targets in this window.
The German champions under Vincent Kompany were looking to build on the Bundesliga triumph and were hoping to improve the roster to launch a push for the Champions League crown.
However, they have faced rejection in this window, starting with Florian Wirtz choosing Liverpool over Bayern, followed by Nico Williams signing a contract extension.
Bayern shifted their focus to Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, and while there’s interest from the Colombian, the Reds are in no mood to allow him to leave Anfield.
Recent updates via BILD suggest that Bayern’s official bid for Stuttgart star Nick Woltemade was rejected.
The Bavarians had made an offer worth €40m fixed plus €5m add-ons, but it was immediately rejected by Stuttgart as their chiefs refuse to meet Bayern’s representatives.

Stuttgart’s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth has stated the €100 million ($109m) valuation of Woltemade as ‘far from reality’, citing misleading media reports.
He suggested that Bayern’s sudden interest hasn’t changed Stuttgart’s stance on the German youngster.
What did Wohlgemuth say about Bayern’s interest in Woltemade?
“Few things are bigger than the silly season,” Wohlgemuth said to Sky Sport when addressing Bayern’s interest.

“A lot has been written and a lot has been said, but that doesn’t change the facts… we made a long-term agreement with Nick almost a year and a half ago, and we assume that he will play football for us next season.”
Speaking about the transfer fees reported by the media, he said, “These sums are merely rumoured by the public and basically have nothing to do with reality.”
There were several reports about Woltemade agreeing to personal terms with Bayern Munich, but Wohlgemuth believes that the 23-year-old will continue with Stuttgart.
Woltemade’s current contract runs until 2028, and Stuttgart are under no pressure to sell the forward, who made a big impact in the 2025 U21 Euros, netting six goals.
The German sensation netted 17 goals and provided three assists last season across all competitions as he guided Stuttgart to DFB-Pokal triumph.
