Stephen Curry’s controversial ranking on Bleacher Report’s Top 100 Ever list revealed

Stephen Curry is an all-time great. There is no arguing that. He is the greatest shooter ever, a four-time champion, and a two-time MVP. The list of his accomplishments goes on and on.

That hasn’t stopped the haters (and supporters) of constantly arguing about where Curry lands on the list of the greatest basketball players of all time.

Luckily, Bleacher Report just released their Top 100 NBA Players of All Time. Of course, Curry’s spot on the list has sparked much debate.

“No active—or recently active—player has reshaped the game more than Stephen Curry. That includes greatest-of-all-time candidate LeBron James.

Billed for so long as the best shooter in league history, Curry has proved to be so much more. He isn’t the first NBA player with the gravity to suck in entire defenses, but he is the first to leverage that pull in so many different, exhaustive ways. His teams are better by virtue of him existing.

The accolades speak for themselves. The circumstances under which they’ve come are less vociferous. The Golden State Warriors have been fortunate enough to field numerous generational iterations, but none of them peak or even exist without Steph. His ability to play alongside anyone is scalability beyond measure. Qualitatively and stylistically, he is one-of-one.”

Bleacher Report put Stephen Curry at number 10 on their list. While his 2022 NBA Championship and Finals MVP landed him in many NBA fans’ top-10 All-Time list, what is controversial is who he is above.

Curry sits right above Kobe Bryant. Many people of the more recent generations consider Kobe one of the greatest, if not the greatest, players ever. Curry being ahead of him on this list will surely spark some debate.

That being said, others will argue that Curry is too low. He has more championships than Larry Bird (no.8), more MVPs than Shaquille O’Neal (no.6), and the same number of All-NBA selections (in a much more stacked league) as Magic Johnson (no. 4).

For us, as long as Curry is in the top 10, we agree. Additionally, unlike everyone in the top 10 except LeBron James, he can still climb the list.
