On May. 24, Golden State Warriors standout point guard Stephen Curry described his post-retirement life despite being an active NBA player.
“I love the idea of people giving fans a new perspective and good storytelling (through podcasting),” Curry said. “It does get a little loud at times, but some people are really good at it though.”
“You won’t see me doing it, though (once he retires), so don’t worry about that. I got a lot of other things I want to do. Because if you’re going to do something, you have to be all in. It’s not something I’m passionate about.”
On Monday, the generational perimeter shooter sat down with CNBC’s Alex Sherman to make a new announcement about life after basketball once he retires from the NBA.
“The idea of being a part of an ownership group and the right opportunity that allows me to have an impact on how a franchise should be operated,” Curry said.
“That’s something I’m excited about pursuing. It’s interesting. Obviously, as an active player, you can’t participate in that level until you’re done. So you’ll see me in the seat somewhere down the road.”

It would be interesting to see how Curry would operate as an owner of an NBA franchise.
Not only is the Davidson product a top 50 NBA player of all time, but he also has an exceptional basketball mind and can dissect the game at an amazingly high level.
Although that wouldn’t guarantee success for Curry in an ownership role, it would give him a chance to hold his own in a demanding post-retirement occupation.
On the hardwood, Curry continues to dominate toward the end of his storied career.
The 37-year-old phenom averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game, shooting 44.8% from the field and 39.7% from deep on a Warriors squad that could have reached the Western Conference finals if Curry had remained healthy (he suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain in the second round).
Considering Curry hasn’t exhibited signs of slowing down, his retirement will have to wait a bit longer.
