Sixers predicted to part ways with Paul George in shocking trade with Eastern Conference contender

The Philadelphia 76ers have some work to do over the summer. As a team that came in with high expectations, this season has been underwhelming. The Sixers are No. 12 in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23-26. They are on a two-game losing streak, and they will finish the season without their two biggest stars.

Right now, Philadelphia is a lottery bound team that has a shot at getting a top pick. This means they could potentially land a player such as Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey or anyone else projected to be a lottery pick. Regardless of what happens and who they select, there is a strong chance the Sixers will have a busy offseason.

Philadelphia could be involved in some offseason trades, and one of the names to keep an eye on is Paul George. George joined the Sixers last summer, but after a roller coaster season, both parties could look to move on. The nine-time All-Star will undoubtedly have suitors interested in acquiring him, and one of them could be an Eastern Conference team searching for their final piece. In other words, the Sixers could move George to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Three Cone of Bleacher Report’s NBA Daily discussed potential trade packages for George, and the Bucks were one of the teams mentioned. He proposed a deal where Milwaukee would send Kyle Kuzma, Pat Connaughton and Bobby Portis to Philadelphia for Paul George and second round picks. He also mentioned that this deal would depend on Connaughton and Portis accepting their player options.

This move is something that can keep Giannis Antetokounmpo happy, and puts the Bucks in a better position to win. For the Sixers, they get some solid veteran pieces that can help what will be a young team. If Embiid stays healthy, the mixture of veterans and youth could help the Sixers turn things around.

The Sixers need to do something, and with Milwaukee wanting to find someone to play alongside Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, George is a strong possibility.
