Simone Inzaghi drops bold PSG warning for Champions League final

Simone Inzaghi has issued a defiant message ahead of the UEFA Champions League final—Inter Milan are not afraid of Paris Saint-Germain’s firepower.

“We’ll be up against a team who have more resources than we do,” said Inzaghi.

“But we’ve already shown against Bayern, Barcelona, City, and Arsenal that when we use our weapons and show heart we can compete with anyone.”

The Nerazzurri reached the final after edging Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate in a two-legged thriller that saw 13 goals, a last-gasp strike from Francesco Acerbi, and a match-winner in extra time by Davide Frattesi that helped the side from San Siro to reach their seventh Champions League final.

Inter earlier knocked out Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals.

Inzaghi, in his third season with the club, has led Inter to their second final in three years. But he made it clear—“The job’s not done.”

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN via FC Inter News after Inter’s latest Serie A win over Torino, he said, “I can talk about the path that I’ve taken. I thank the guys and the club for what they’ve given me.”

“But the job’s not done and it will take heart, soul, and organization.”

“I was with my parents the morning after Barcelona. The best message I received was from my brother. [Former striker Pippo Inzaghi” He hinted at support from fellow managers too, noting, “Two other coaches I won’t name realized Inter had done something great. I’ll identify them on June 1st.”

On May 31st in Munich, Inter will face PSG, who are still chasing their first European crown. Inzaghi knows the task. But he’s ready. “We’ll do so again on May 31st.”
