At the start of each round in the 2025 NBA Playoffs, Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander debuted a new colorway of his signature sneaker, the Converse SHAI 001.
He saved the best colorway for the end of Oklahoma City’s championship journey.
Moments after the buzzer rang in the Thunder’s 103-91 win over the Pacers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Gilgeous-Alexander made his way to the stands to cherish the moment with his loved ones. As he walked back to the court, his neck was adorned with a golden colorway of the signature shoe.

Throughout the Thunder’s championship celebration, Gilgeous-Alexander had a gold pair of the Converse SHAI 001 around his neck.
Fans got a great look at the sneakers during Gilgeous-Alexander’s postgame interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters.

The glimmer of the metallic gold colorway mimics that of the Larry O’Brien Trophy and the Bill Russell Finals MVP award. As Gilgeous-Alexander hoisted his hardware, the color coordination was impossible to ignore.

This is the latest part of the SHAI 001 rollout, which included Gilgeous-Alexander sporting various colorways of the sneaker around his neck during Drake’s “NOKIA” music video.
Because the video was in black and white, fans have been learning the specifics of colorways as Gilgeous-Alexander reveals them on game day.

Converse SHAI 001 release date
There is no set release date for the SHAI 001, but the “Butter” colorway is slated for a Fall 2025 release.
The SHAI 001 will retail for $130, per Converse’s website.
