The Seattle Seahawks are bringing back an old friend.
Shaquill Griffin has signed a free agent contract with Seattle, according to insider Jordan Schultz.
Griffin was a third-round pick by the Seahawks in 2017 out of Central Florida.
He spent the first four years of his NFL career with Seattle, starting 53 of the 57 games he appeared in.
Griffin made six interceptions in his Seahawks tenure, adding 48 passes defensed and 249 tackles.

He spent 2021 and 2022 with the Jaguars.
In 2023, he split the seasons between the Texans and Panthers.
Last fall, Griffin played for the Vikings, recorded a pair of interceptions to go with 41 tackles in what was probably his best season since leaving Seattle.
Griffin will turn 30 years old in July, but he appears to still have something left in the tank.
The 2019 Pro Bowler lingered on the free agent market for a while, but as a talented cornerback, he likely knew he could wait for the opportunity he wanted.
Seattle presented a chance for Griffin to return to the place he started his NFL career.
Much has changed since then. The veteran defensive back room is long gone. Pete Carroll is now coaching in Las Vegas.
But Griffin will get a chance to bring back some of the Seahawks’ defensive tradition in a strong signing for Seattle in late June.
