Marshawn Lynch showed off his physicality during the Seattle Seahawks’ preseason game on Thursday night.
No, he wasn’t on the field, even though he could probably still get the job done.
Instead, it was a bit of Beast Mode action during Lynch’s time as a credentialed photographer on the sideline.
The entertaining moment came when George Holani broke off a 24-yard touchdown run for the Seahawks near the end of the first quarter.

Holani ended up heading straight toward Lynch, who had to throw an elbow to protect his camera.

Holani wasn’t facing toward Lynch at the time of the collision. Otherwise, there may have been a bit of further interaction. The Seahawks legend is certainly quite recognizable.
As it is, neither party came away worse for wear. It’s just a small-world kind of a moment.
Lynch isn’t the first Seattle sports great to take up photography.
MLB Hall of Famers Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr. have both shown off their ability behind the lens.

Besides that, it was a Lynch-heavy night on Thursday.
He played for the Seahawks of course, but also for the opposing Raiders. And the Raiders are now coached by Pete Carroll, who was Lynch’s coach in Seattle. The night did end a bit lamely for everyone involved, a 23-23 tie.
It’s not clear whether the 39-year old Lynch will be back on the sideline anytime soon. But you can be sure that if he is, he’s going to use all that Beast Mode strength he still has to protect his camera, because those things aren’t cheap.
