In four-ball, Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau tied Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton on Friday before defeating Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland for a full point on Saturday.
2023
Scheffler found less success at the 2023 Ryder Cup despite his status as one of the world’s best golfers, failing to record a win in any of his four matches.
Scheffler and Sam Burns dropped a foursomes matchup against Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton on Friday. Later in the day, Scheffler and Brooks Koepka tied Rahm and Nicolai Højgaard in a four-ball matchup, earning a half-point.
Foursomes gave Scheffler and Koepka more trouble on Saturday, as the pair suffered a loss against Ludvig Aberg and Hovland.
Scheffler tied his singles match with Rahm on Sunday, one of two ties among the 12 singles matches, but it wasn’t enough to push the United States to a win. Europe won with 16.5 points, avenging its 2021 defeat.
