It’s now the middle of April, so the biggest names in free agency have mostly all been accounted for. Now, most teams are looking towards the draft as their next opportunity to improve.
However, for teams who aren’t willing to wait for the draft, there could be some quality players available on the trade market. Moe Moton of Bleacher Report recently picked the biggest potential trades that could still happen this offseason. Moton identified Will Levis to the New Orleans Saints as a realistic trade that makes sense for both sides.
Levis struggled mightily in his second professional season, and the Tennessee Titans appear set to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first pick.
The Saints, meanwhile, retained Derek Carr this offseason but the veteran is now 34 and there doesn’t appear to be a long-term franchise passer on the roster. Carr is also dealing with an injury that could impact his availability for the beginning of the 2025 season.
As a result, Moton suggests the Titans send Levis. Here’s a look at the exact trade proposal from Moton, and his thoughts on it.
- New Orleans Saints Get: QB Will Levis, 2025 5th-Round Pick
- Tennessee Titans Get: 2025 4th-Round Pick
Tennessee may find a trade partner in the New Orleans Saints, who have a new coaching staff and uncertainty at quarterback.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Derek Carr suffered a “significant” injury to his throwing shoulder that jeopardizes his availability for the start of the 2025 season.
Even if the Saints take a quarterback early in the draft, they can consider adding Levis to compete with a rookie, Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener and Ben DiNucci for the starting position if Carr misses extended time.
As Moton mentioned, Levis could seek a fresh start somewhere else and the Saints could be interested in the young passer’s potential.

In 2024, Levis threw for 2,091 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. However, Levis was tied with Kirk Cousins and Sam Darnold for the most turnovers in the league with 18.
In New Orleans, Levis could compete with Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, and Ben DiNucci for snaps in Carr’s absence. The Saints are also a team to watch for a rookie passer, but the team may prefer to go for a more experienced option like Levis instead.
It’s possible that a change of scenery could help Levis reinvigorate his career. The former second-round pick could improve in New Orleans with a solid supporting cast that includes Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed.
