Ruben Amorim gives verdict on players looking for a move away from Man Utd

Manchester United faced a 1-0 loss against Arsenal in their opening Premier League match of the season on August 17 at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils welcomed some new faces to their squad this summer while parting ways with a few and several reports have suggested a few more departures are likely to follow before the end of the transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia have been heavily linked with a move away from Man United and have been reportedly training away from the main squad.

Man United head coach Ruben Amorim addressed these potential departures and shared his take on the situation at Old Trafford.

What did Man United boss Ruben Amorim say?

While speaking the press ahead of Man United’s upcoming league match, Amorim mentioned that the club are trying to ‘arrange’ a suitable option for them and the players who ‘want to play in a different club.’

“I know that is not a good thing to have players in this situation but it’s clear they want to play in a different club and that is clear. So we try to arrange everything for both parts to be happy, so I have to try to imagine having the training with the guys that I think are going to be the future and the other guys are training and preparing for the next chapter,” as per ESPN.

“When the window is closed, it’s a different history. When the window is closed, we have to receive the players and in a new life, anything can happen. Let’s wait until the market is closed and then everything is clear.”

Man United are set to face Fulham next in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on August 24. Amorim also spoke about their upcoming opponents, stating that ‘it is going to be a tough match.’

“Fulham is always hard to play against. They have a clear identity. They are really comfortable because they have the experience, they understand the league. They will feel comfortable and relaxed, so it is going to be a tough match.”

Man United have a good record in league games against Fulham at Craven Cottage, with 12 victories as opposed to the home crowd’s two wins in 18 matches.
