Here comes Rich Hill, again.
The left-handed pitcher just won’t go away. The Kansas City Royals are calling him up to pitch against the Cubs this week, according to Robert Murray.
Hill is 45 years old, which is remarkable enough.
Even crazier is the record Hill is going to tie. This will be the 14th MLB team he pitches for, matching Edwin Jackson for most in league history.
The Royals are 48-52 at the time of Hill’s call-up, with a lot of work to do to try and return to the playoff race.
Hill may help, at least a bit.

He has made nine starts for Triple-A Omaha and has a 5.36 ERA. In 42 innings, Hill has struck out 48 batters.
The stuff still gets whiffs, led by the loopy curveball.
Hill made his MLB debut in 2005 for the Cubs.
Now 20 years later, he’ll get the chance to face off with the Cubs in his return to the majors.
