Report: Liverpool forward set for summer exit as ‘all options will be considered’

Darwin Nunez may have reached the end of his Liverpool chapter, with reports suggesting a summer exit is firmly on the table.

After a rocky season at Anfield and growing uncertainty about his role under Arne Slot, the Uruguayan striker could be packing his bags in the coming months.

The speculation was reignited after Nunez posted a set of black-and-white training photos on social media — silent, but not subtle.

A few hours later, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano dropped a reminder: “Darwin Nunez’s full focus until July remains on Liverpool… but then he has strong chances to leave the club.”

Romano noted that Liverpool already rejected a hefty offer from Saudi side Al Nassr in January.

But this time, “all options will be considered.” That means Europe, Saudi Arabia, or any club willing to bet on Nunez’s raw power and potential.

Nunez’s time at Liverpool has been full of ups and downs — moments of brilliance mixed with missed sitters.

He arrived in 2022 for a fee close to $85 million, expected to become the Reds’ next great No.9. But three seasons in, the spark hasn’t quite caught fire.

His stats tell the story. Just five Premier League goals this campaign, and a sharp dip in his expected goal involvement. The numbers are falling — and so is his place in the pecking order.

Adding fuel to the fire, Nunez missed last week’s match against West Ham. Rumors swirled about a fallout with the staff, but Slot shut those down.

“No, he didn’t [have a falling-out],” the manager said. “He didn’t feel himself… He wasn’t able to be part of the team the day after.”

It’s clear: while Nunez might still smile in training, his future looks far from red.
