The Boston Red Sox presumably called up Kyle Harrison today, as it was reported by Worcester Red Sox insider Tommy Cassell that Harrison had packed his bags and was heading to Boston. Now, there is a little bit of doubt if he will.
Cassell came out with another post, citing that Harrison has a lingering left ankle injury, and he may be getting it checked out before stepping on the mound for Boston.

“Kyle Harrison pitched on the mound earlier today in Worcester before heading to Boston but has been nursing a left ankle injury. It’s a possibility that he may get an MRI. If all goes well with that, or if he feels fine, Harrison is expected to pitch tomorrow for the Red Sox,” Cassell wrote.
Harrison would be a great addition to the rotation, as he’s got a 5-2 record, a 3.58 ERA, 86 K’s, and a WHIP of 1.47 in 75 innings pitched in the minors. In this past month of August, he did even better, posting a 2.25 ERA.

Hopefully Harrison will make the start considering he made five starts in August makes for good reason to believe he’ll take the mound tomorrow. But, in the off chance he doesn’t, the Sox will need to decide quickly what to do.
