There’s very little to know about the Chicago Blackhawks’ offseason.
The club has not picked a new head coach, nor have they leaked what their intention might be near the top of the NHL draft.
However, that hasn’t stopped some NHL analysts from speculating upon where the team might choose to go with their 2025 first-round draft pick.
In a recent article by Corey Pronman and Scott Wheeler of The Athletic, the pair picked Anton Frondell to be Chicago’s pick at selection No.3
“Chicago picks the top player in Europe in Frondell. He’s a great all-around center who is highly skilled and competitive and a gifted goal scorer.” The article said. ‘
Frondell is one of the best young prospects in the class, and certainly makes sense near the top of the draft.

“Frondell has excellent hockey sense. He reads how plays are developing and slides into ‘quiet ice’ to make himself available offensively. He has good size and room to add more strength and weight as he matures. Frondell is also generally responsible defensively.”Jason Bukala of Sportsnet said.
Although struggling at times, Frondell looks to be a sure-fire NHL contributor and will only get better over time.
“I’m playing with a lot of older guys, who’ve had really successful careers… like Marcus Kruger, who played for Chicago and had two Stanley Cups, he’s so good to talk with,” Frondell said. “If I have any questions, in the game, everything around the rink, he knows. He knows how it is to play on the other side, so he’s a really good guy I can talk to. They’re older, they’ve been playing longer than me, they know much more than me about hockey, so trying to learn everything I can from those guys. I ask them so many questions.” Frondell said a few weeks ago.
