Real Madrid star back in training ahead of next La Liga match

Real Madrid have played their first game of the season after beating Osasuna 1-0. Xabi Alonso’s team will prepare to play their second La Liga game of the season against Real Oviedo away from home. The team will have a few players back for the game against Real Oviedo, such as Antonio Rudiger.

The German defender faced a game suspension and was not eligible to play against Osasuna. He will return against Real Oviedo, but a new addition that is welcomed by fans and the coaching staff is Endrick.

The young Brazilian striker has been injured since the late part of last season and missed the entire FIFA Club World Cup and the preseason game against WSG Tirol. Endrick has trained on the pitch and is expected to return soon.

Endrick will likely not be fit enough to play against Real Oviedo, but it is expected that he will be back after the September international break. Endrick will be wearing the number ‘9’ at Real Madrid, and fans will expect more from him this season under Xabi Alonso.

How Long Has Endrick Been Out For?

Endrick suffered a muscle injury in July, and the last game for Real Madrid was against Sevilla on May 18. It was the 37th match day of La Liga last season. The Brazilian striker started the match and played 58 minutes before being replaced by Victor Munoz.

Endrick has never played under Xabi Alonso and missed the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

In his place, Gonzalo Garcia earned a spot in the team and became the top goalscorer for Real Madrid during the tournament.

Despite Garcia’s impressive Club World Cup, Endrick was awarded the number ‘9’ jersey after Kylian Mbappe was given the number ’10’ jersey following Luka Modric’s departure from the club.
