Real Madrid’s summer transfer window is heating up, and there’s another big name heading to the Santiago Bernabeu.
After deals for Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Los Blancos are now preparing to welcome Franco Mastantuono, one of Argentina’s brightest young stars.
All the paperwork is done. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano put it: “All documents have been signed.” The 17-year-old forward has penned a contract until June 2031.

The club is now waiting to make things official with an announcement.
Mastantuono will join Madrid once he turns 18 in August, following his campaign with River Plate at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The fee? €45 million, paid in three neat installments. The release clause? A jaw-dropping €1 billion. That’s right — Real Madrid aren’t just buying a talent, they’re locking down a treasure.

Franco Mastantuono: From River to the Royal Whites
Mastantuono is the latest in a long line of River Plate talents heading to Europe. The Buenos Aires club has become something of a talent factory, producing names like Julian Alvarez and Enzo Fernandez. Now, it’s Mastantuono’s turn to make the leap.
He’s already turned heads at home. Seven goals in 2025, a senior national team debut, and enough flair to make defenders dizzy.
He plays mostly on the right but has the skills to drift inside or even create from deep. Madrid clearly think he’s worth the wait.
While fans dream of seeing him light up La Liga, Mastantuono will first try to lead River Plate to glory at the Club World Cup.
If all goes well, he could even face his future club in a knockout clash — talk about a preview for the Bernabeu faithful.
Madrid’s attack is already stacked, and there could be exits to make room. But in true Galactico fashion, they’re planning for both now and the future.
