PSG are on the cusp of securing what would be a near perfect season without their former superstar Kylian Mbappe, who left for Real Madrid in 2024.
Instead of falling apart without the services of the French international, the Les Parisiens have turned into a machine under Luis Enrique.
The Spaniard has helped them lift four major trophies already and they now stand just one step away from winning the FIFA Club World Cup.
Their 4-0 destruction of Real Madrid in the semifinal showed just how far this team has come since Mbappe’s departure.
The goals came fast and early with Fabian Ruiz scoring twice before Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos added to the tally.
PSG have now scored 168 goals in 64 matches this season and are closing in on the club record of 171 goals set in 2017-18.

The team also beat Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final and they have looked unstoppable throughout the campaign as they continue to build what looks like a dynasty.
Real Madrid legend praises PSG
Michel Salgado, who had just witnessed the disintegration of his former team, heaped praise on his compatriot.
“What he (Luis Enrique) has done is spectacular,” said the former Real Madrid defender to AS.
“Everyone was talking about MbappĂ© when he left, and he knew how to manage the change without ever criticising him. He always said, ‘It would have been incredible to have the best player in the world.’
“But they adapted to another way of playing, another style, more collective, always prioritising the team above the individual.
“This pushes everyone to give their all, not only in attack but also in defence. He is a coach who motivates his players enormously. Everyone applies intense pressure.”
Salgado, who has won four La Liga titles with Real was particularly impressed by Dembele’s work rate.
“Dembele presses like he’s the best defender in the world. Convincing a player like him to do that… that’s the sign of a great coach,” he said.
PSG will now face Chelsea in the final on Sunday (July 13) in New Jersey with a chance to complete a historic sweep.
