Asencio, who joined Madrid’s youth setup from Las Palmas in 2017, exploded onto the first-team scene this past season amid an injury crisis that sidelined Eder Militao and David Alaba.
He made his senior debut in November and never looked back. He has featured in 52 matches across all competitions, logging 4,054 minutes and providing two assists. His mature performances earned him a Spain call-up in March.
According to the Athletic, Real Madrid had already triggered a pre-agreed contract option in March to extend Asencio’s terms until 2029.
Talks then began for a fresh long-term renewal with improved wages. That deal is now done.
