Real Betis have made eight signings this summer transfer window, but one player the fanbase wants to see back in the squad is the Brazilian winger Antony. He joined Real Betis earlier this year on loan from Manchester United and thrived.
He returned to Manchester United this summer from his loan in Spain, but he is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans for this season. The player is reportedly ready to leave the club, and Real Betis wants the player back.
Antony is reportedly very interested in returning to Real Betis, but on a permanent deal. Manchester United wants to sell the Brazilian winger on a permanent deal as well, but it is complicated for the Spanish club.
Real Betis were reportedly planning to sign Antony on a loan deal with an option to buy. New reports suggest that the deal would be a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Antony Gets Closer to Real Betis Return
Fabrizio Romano reports that Antony to Real Betis is ‘heating up’ and that there is a 70% chance that the Brazilian will leave Manchester United to return to Real Betis. Both clubs are reportedly in advanced talks for the transfer to happen in the next few days.
The Sun reports that Real Betis would pay a loan fee of around $4 million, and next year will pay an obligation fee of around $44.5 million.
Both Real Betis and Manchester United will continue working on the transfer to happen in the next couple of hours, according to Romano. Antony did not play in the preseason or in the first three games of the new season with Manchester United.
Man United will likely work on other departures like Jadon Sancho, who also has not participated with the squad during the preseason and in the first three games of the new season.
