Lamar Jackson’s return for the Baltimore Ravens is nearing, with the two-time MVP winner back on the practice field this week.
And on Thursday, Lamar was “limited” per Baltimore’s practice report, which still leaves his status for Sunday against the Chicago Bears up in the air, but there is a feeling No. 8 could suit up in what is the true definition of a must-win game.
With Lamar back on the practice field and the mood and energy seriously picking up, it is no wonder many are bullish on what the Ravens might be able to do down the stretch.
And running back Derrick Henry is more than ready for Jackson’s return.
“Hell yeah,” Henry said on if it was a boost to see No. 8 practicing. “We love to have eight back, have him back out there, leadership, energy he brings, it’s always great to have eight back out there, and especially we always have fun too.”

Lamar return key to Ravens playoff hopes
Well, duh, right.
Needing at last double-digit wins, one would imagine that even to be in with a shot of playoff football, the plan ahead for Jackson and his Ravens is simple — win out. Ok, maybe not simple, but the path is clear, and at Week 8, needing to nearly run the table isn’t a good spot to be, but at 1-5, the Ravens can’t afford many, if any, slip-ups.
But we know that with Lamar at the helm, this team is capable of going on a long run, and if playoffs are to be achieved, that is what will be required, and it starts Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
It feels like a must-win, and even at 2-5, playoffs feel a long way off, but 1-6? The dream might be squashed.
Many have the franchise’s hopes pinned on Lamar’s shoulders, but even he might not have enough magic to pull the Ravens out of this one.
