Ranking the top Easter eggs in Los Angeles Chargers schedule release video

The Los Angeles Chargers have the schedule release game down to a science. The league has turned the release of its schedule for the upcoming season into another big event on the NFL calendar and teams are getting more and more creative with how they announce their schedule.

But the Chargers’ social media team has put out top-tier material and this year was no different.

The Chargers released a Minecraft-themed video on Wednesday night that is seen by most as comical and entertaining, but seen by fans of other teams around the league as annoying… and that’s a good thing. While this video took subtle shots at several teams, players and news stories from around the league, we are going to knock it down to the top five moments from the video.

To see all of these without knowing that they’re coming, you have to watch it several times (at least 5-10) to take it all in. The entire nearly five-minute video was terrific from start to finish, but these moments stood out above the rest.

Los Angeles Chargers schedule release video: Top Easter eggs

5. Las Vegas Raiders have smallest home

The Chargers take shots at each of their AFC West rivals in this release, but it starts with the Raiders early on. After showing the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs both having big, lavish homes, the Raiders have a small, cheap-looking structure. There is also a box of Pop-Tarts next to the door, which is a reference to former Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams taking offense to the Chargers doing this last season.

It sets the tone for the rest of the video.

4. Eagles “Tush Push” rally

The Eagles are having a rally to save their “Tush Push”, which could end up being banned in a new rule that will soon be voted upon by owners.

The play, called the Tush Push or the Brotherly Shove, has been proven to be nearly unstoppable when run by the Eagles and that led to the Green Bay Packers to propose that the play be banned, and several other teams will likely side with the Packers.

3. Anthony Richardson runs out of gas

Andrew Luck joins the video to start a race dubbed the “QB Grand Prix” featuring Colts quarterbacks Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones and Jason Bean. As soon as Richardson passes Jones in the face, he sputters out and “Richardson ran out of gas” pops up on the screen.

Of course, this is a shot at Richardson literally tapping out of a game last season.

2. Tyrique Stevenson

The Chargers even went after teams that they don’t play this season.

Chicago Bears defensive back Tyrique Stevenson caught a stray, replaying one of the most bizarre scenes in recent memory when he was caught taunting fans in Washington last year before Jayden Daniels won the game with an incredible Hail Mary.

1. Liam Coen

During the video, the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars is shown followed by the voice of head coach Liam Coen saying “Duval” from this ridiculous moment from his introductory press conference, that he’ll never live down.
