Raiders vs. Saints injury report has 6 ruled out, 3 questionable for Week 17

The Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints have released their final injury reports of the week ahead of their Week 17 game on Sunday and there are three players listed as questionable and another six ruled out between the two teams.

The Raiders have been plagued by injuries all season long but have a mostly clean situation, with the exception of starting guard Jordan Meredith, who has been ruled out. Las Vegas will likely start rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson at guard and Andre James at center. JPJ had been starting at center before Meredith’s injury.

New Orleans has a very different situation on their injury report, as a total of five Saints are ruled out and another three are questionable.

One of the few interesting storylines for this game was Derek Carr facing his old team for the first time, but he’s one of the five ruled out. Carr suffered a hand injury that has kept him out of multiple games in a row.

With Carr sidelined, rookie Spencer Rattler will get the start once again. The Saints were shut out last week with Rattler under center, so the Raiders have a better chance to win with him starting, which is bad news for their draft position.

Along with Carr, four other starters are ruled out in wide receiver Chris Olave, running back Alvin Kamara and offensive linemen Erik McCoy and Lucas Patrick. Kendre Miller and Jordan Mims will likely split work out of the backfield.

The three players who are questionable for the Saints are wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd and cornerback Rico Payton.
