PSG vs Arsenal: Key stats ahead of Champions League semi-final first leg

Well, we are down to the business end of the Champions League as four European heavyweights prepare for battle in the semifinals.

Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milan, and Barcelona remain standing after grueling knockout campaigns.

The first semifinal sees Arsenal host PSG at the Emirates on Tuesday in a rematch of their group stage encounter, where Mikel Arteta’s Gunners dominated that October meeting 2-0, but much has changed since then.

Arsenal enter with momentum after dismantling defending champions Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate in a quarterfinal masterclass.

PSG, meanwhile, survived a nervy 5-4 aggregate victory over Premier League surprise package Aston Villa.

Despite recently securing another Ligue 1 title, PSG’s Luis Enrique knows European glory remains the club’s obsession. Arsenal, whose Premier League challenge has faded, now see continental success as their priority.
