Just weeks after winning a first-ever UEFA Champions League title, PSG have landed in the United States with one mission, to win the new-look FIFA Club World Cup.
Midfielder Vitinha was firm over where the team’s focus is ahead of a Group B opener against Atletico Madrid on June 15.
“We’re good, we feel good, we are enjoying a new experience, a new culture, in a new country.
“We’re happy to be here and are making the most of it at training. We’ll be ready for Sunday’s game. We’re here to win.”
“We’re not in the USA on holidays or as tourists. We came here to win. It’s another big competition, a new format for the first time. We want to write history again; we want to win again.”
“But we also know we need to take it one step at a time, focus on the first game, and prepare the best we can, as we did today in training and as we have done in all our training sessions, in order to be ready.”

PSG’s intent is backed by some excellent numbers as Luis Enrique’s men completed a perfect 2024/25 season by winning four trophies from four competitions.
The Parisians landed the Trophees des Champions after defeating Monaco 1-0, won Ligue 1 by a whopping 19 points, crushed Reims 3-0 in the Coupe de France final and put five unanswered goals past Inter Milan in the UCL final.
After their clash with Diego Simeone’s side, PSG will take on Botafogo in Pasadena on June 20 and Seattle Sounders in their home arena on June 23.
