Carlos Soler is reportedly nearing the end of his time at Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish midfielder, who joined from Valencia in 2022, is expected to leave within the next ten days.
Both loan and permanent moves are being considered, with the player said to be open to either option.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at West Ham United. He featured in 31 matches, scored once, and added an assist.
Despite regular playing time in England, he has returned to Paris only to find himself outside Luis Enrique’s plans.
PSG, fresh from a historic season that included their first UEFA Champions League title, now want to trim their large squad. Several stars, including Soler, have been placed on the transfer list.
Reports (via Fabrizio Romano) suggest that Soler is keen to move back to Spain or remain in England. His time in Paris never truly clicked, with injuries and competition limiting his role.

Which could be the next club for Carlos Soler?
Apparently, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid have both looked at the possibility of signing him. A loan deal seems more likely, but Villarreal have also been mentioned by Spanish outlets as a serious option.
That would reunite him with coach Marcelino, who managed him during his Valencia days.
The midfielder is also said to be open to another Premier League chance. His spell at West Ham gave him valuable experience in English football, and some mid-table clubs could see him as a useful addition. At this stage, no official bid has been confirmed, but the clock is ticking.
For PSG, Soler’s exit is part of a larger clear-out. Randal Kolo Muani, Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, and Nordi Mukiele are also reportedly on the market.
The club needs to free up wages and balance the squad before September 1.
Soler still has two years left on his contract in Paris, but with a market value of around €18 million, a permanent deal is possible. Yet, with just days left in the window, a loan might be the more realistic short-term option.
