Premier League supercomputer predicts incredible title pattern in 2025/26

The 2025/26 Premier League fixture list has dropped as the path to the title begins to take shape.

Arne Slot led Liverpool to the 2024/25 crown as the Reds sealed a second top-flight title inside five years as part of a superb first year in charge for the Dutch coach.

There was more frustration for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, who finished second for a third successive season, and defending champions Manchester City rallied to land third spot.

It was the first season City have not won a domestic trophy since Pep Guardiola’s first campaign in charge in 2016/17 as Chelsea and Newcastle United landed in fourth and fifth respectively to claim the final UEFA Champions League qualification spots.

Guardiola has already spent £110m in the summer transfer window – as he looks to chase down Liverpool – with Slot closing in on a club transfer record deal to sign Florian Wirtz.

The 2025/26 campaign is all set to be a real battle for the title and the latest data hints at a familiar pattern as Liverpool, Arsenal and City go head-to-head again.

Who will win the 2025/26 Premier League title?

Despite a ball yet to be kicked on the new season, this is the question all fans want answered.

Ahead of the new campaign, AceOdds’ supercomputer BETSiE, has run its algorithm to give a prediction on the 2025/26 permutations.

That includes simulating the top-flight season 100,000 times, taking into account all results from last season [across all competitions] and projecting the season based on preseason expectations, fixture difficulty and xG earned for and against in the season.

Based on the latest predictions, Liverpool will retain their Premier League crown, the first time they have done so since the top-flight change in 1992.

However, the biggest call is of the top six mirroring 2024/25, with Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa all following in behind.

The gap between first and second is expected to tighten, with Liverpool winning by 10 points in 2024/25, and Arsenal predicted to close that to two in 2025/26 – but it could be runners up spot again for Arteta.

The biggest climbers are backed to be Tottenham following the arrival of Thomas Frank with the Europa League champions tipped to jump from 17th to 7th.

All three promoted sides were immediately relegated in 2024/25, and that pattern is predicted to follow, with Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland placed in the bottom three.
