Since the PGA Championship takes place at a different place each year, it could lead to some unique moments, depending on the location.
This year, the notable feature to watch is wildlife, as water animals typically make their way onto the Quail Hollow Club course in North Carolina. On Friday, veteran golfer Shaun Micheel had to deal with a particular animal on the 10th hole amid his effort to get above the cut line.
It marks the second-straight day that an animal caused a delay in action as it was intruding on a player’s shot. Here is how a snake played a role during the second day of the PGA Championship.

PGA Championship play interrupted by a snake
Before Shaun Micheel hit his third shot on the par-five 10th hole, he had to halt his play as a snake was crossing the fairway. A volunteer at Quail Hollow helped get the snake away from Micheel’s ball to allow the golfer to hit his shot, but not before the snake approached the ball to create a small amount of chaos.

While Micheel had to deal with the snake, it didn’t impact his performance as he birdied the hole to get to +4 for the tournament as he tries to make his way past the cut line.
The Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina is known for having some wildlife around due to the amount of water on the course. On Thursday, it was a turtle that interrupted play after it took a seat in the sand trap near the water.
