Sid the Kid ain’t a kid anymore.
But Sidney Crosby is still getting it done for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
On Monday night, he reached a remarkable career milestone.
Crosby now has 1,700 career points, getting there on an assist against the St. Louis Blues.
He actually needed a pair of helpers on Monday, and he’s now got 1,069 assists and 631 goals for the Penguins.
The 38-year old joins a very impressive list with eight other legends.

The other NHL players to reach 1,700 career points are:

- Mark Messier: 1887
- Gordie Howe: 1850
- Ron Francis: 1798

- Mario Lemieux: 1723
Talk about a great club for Crosby to be in.
Crosby is just a bit ahead of Alex Ovechkin among active players. Ovi has 1,630 points.
This season, Crosby should pass Penguins legend Lemieux on the board, too, which will be a special moment.
