
The Celtics have been eliminated for a few weeks, but I’m sure most fans were watching the Pacers/Knicks series intensely rooting hard for Indiana.
One Celtics fan and all-time great Celtic, Paul Pierce, went to social media to joke about the Knicks after their Game 6 loss.

What did Pierce say?
Pierce tweeted “I walked so the Knicks can sit lmao.”
For those unfamiliar, the background is that after the Celtics lost a game in the ECSF to New York, Pierce agreed to walk to work if the result happened beforehand.
Pierce later went to social media to show his journey to the studio.

Whether it was staged or not, we won’t know, but Pierce got a good laugh after the Knicks fans prematurely celebrated when making the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics and Knicks have been rivals since they are from two cities that notoriously have big sports rivalries, but haven’t played on the big stage in a while until this postseason.
This rivalry was somewhat restored this year, and Pierce made sure to back up his talk after the Knicks were also eliminated, a few weeks after beating the Celtics.
