Two weeks, two touchdowns for TreVeyon Henderson.
The New England Patriots’ second-round pick running back out of Ohio State is taking over the preseason. Time to fast forward to get him in some games that count.
Henderson took the opening touch of his NFL career for a touchdown on a kickoff return a week ago.
And on Saturday, he found the end zone on the ground for the Pats against the Vikings.
This is the player he always had the potential to be. When Henderson showed up as a freshman in Columbus, he broke out immediately.
He stayed a dominant force for the Buckeyes, although he was overshadowed just a bit in the 2024 national title season by Quinshon Judkins.

Now in the NFL, Henderson’s main competition is veteran Rhamondre Stevenson. In his rookie season, Henderson will probably split time with the powerful back. Henderson should get the main receiving action.
He got four carries and went for 20 yards on Saturday. During the season, it seems safe to expect Josh McDaniels to give Henderson double-digit touches each week.
And if he stays this explosive with them, good things will happen.
TreVeyon Henderson going to be a huge component of #Patriots success. Has looked verrrry good.

The Pats don’t have to move on from Stevenson or anything that drastic. But the RB of the future is clearly Henderson.
His timeline for contention lines up greatly with second-year QB Drake Maye.
Together, Maye and Henderson have a chance to return New England to some of its glory days. That’d be a special outcome from this duo if they can build on a fast start together to put together a shining future.
