The Green Bay Packers went all-in on Micah Parsons, and just two weeks in, the move is already paying major dividends. Even on a limited snap count, Parsons continues to wreak havoc on the field — and now, he’s stirring things up off the field as well, particularly within the division.
“The Packers might have gotten a double whammy out of this. Micah Parsons’ new deal — at $47M per year — could directly impact the division rival Lions, who are actively negotiating with Aidan Hutchinson. Parsons and Green Bay just blew the doors off the market. We’ll see if it ends up affecting it or not,” NFL insider Ari Meirov posted.
Parsons is working his way back to full health and wants to see the field more — something completely understandable for a player of his caliber. After the Packers’ Thursday night win over the Washington Commanders, Parsons opened up about his frustration over the limited playing time.
“I just hope I’m full go. Honestly, it’s pi**ing me off. I tell them it does more worse than good, I get tight and stuff. Hopefully they just let me off. They can’t hold a dog back forever,” Parsons said.
Parsons made it clear he’s not happy sitting on the sidelines. He’s a game-time player, and being held back due to injury is going against his nature. Still, despite the snap limitations, he played a major role in helping the Packers break a five-year drought.
“In past four days, Packers beat last year’s NFC runnerup and NFC North champions by a combined score of 54-31. They open their season 2-0 for first time since 2020. A dominant start,” Packers beat writer Ryan Wood posted.

Parsons’ passion for the game continues to shine through, especially in his vocal desire to be on the field. Green Bay now has a long week to prepare for their next matchup in Cleveland, which could give Parsons the time he needs to fully recover.
For now, though, the injury and his restricted snap count remain his biggest frustrations — his own worst nightmare for a competitor of his intensity.
