Pacers-Cavs Props: 3 Player Prop Picks for Game 5

The Cleveland Cavaliers have their backs against the wall in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Tuesday night, and we have some prop bets to look at for the matchup.

The Pacers blitzed the Cavs last game, scoring a staggering 80 points in the Game 4 win that put Indiana up 3-1. The Cavs came in as favorites in this series but fell in an early hole in part due to some injuries. The Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed looks to extend the series with a win at home.

Due to several factors, bettors have been thrown for a loop throughout this series, but we still have some good prop bets for Game 5.

Pacers vs. Cavaliers Props: 3 Picks for Game 5

Tyrese Haliburton to Record a Double-Double

Tyrese Haliburton is one of the more unique stars in the NBA, and with DraftKings setting the odds at +115 for him to record a double-double, this is a prop worth jumping on.

So far in this series, Haliburton has recorded a double-double in one game. He scored 22 and dished out 13 assists in Game 1, a matchup that the Pacers led throughout. In Game 2, he narrowly missed out on a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.

When the series shifted to Indiana for Games 3 and 4, Haliburton did not come close to recording a double-double. The Cavs will likely make a big push to extend their season at home in Game 5, so Haliburton will have to have a big night to help the Pacers advance. He is capable of reaching double-digit points, assists, and rebounds, so he should have a good shot at a double-double in Game 5.

Darius Garland over 2.5 made threes

Darius Garland missing the first two games of the series for the Cavs has undoubtedly played into the hole they are currently in. However, he is now off the injury report, and at +105 on DraftKings, over 2.5 made threes is a solid bet.

In his two games since returning from a toe injury, Garland has shot 2-7 and 1-5 from three, respectively. The key is that he is getting opportunities, and even coming off of injury, his 40.1% shooting percentage from the regular season indicates that his fortune should turn at some point.

Another key component is that Donovan Mitchell is on the injury report for Game 5, listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain. It would be a bit surprising to see Mitchell not give it a go in an elimination game, but if he is hampered, that could lead to more shot opportunities for Garland.

Look for Garland to make over 2.5 threes in this matchup.

Myles Turner over 6.5 rebounds

Myles Turner’s over/under for rebounds is set at exactly his regular season average of 6.5, with odds of -125. The big man can make a difference with his outside shooting, but he has found some success on the boards so far in this series.

In Game 1, Turner grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. He followed that up with eight boards in Game 2, then three in Game 3, and seven in Game 4.

Each time the Pacers have been competitive in games this series, Turner has gone over 6.5 rebounds. I expect that to happen again in Game 5.
