Nuno Espirito Santo sets out key January transfer goal as Nottingham Forest dream of Europe

Nottingham Forest continue to tear up the Premier League script this season with five successive wins to wrap up 2024.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been the surprise package of the campaign so far, with 11 wins from 19 games at the half-way point in 2024/25, and they currently sit third in the EPL rankings.

The veteran Portuguese coach has consistently looked to manage expectations over where Forest can finish the season as fans begin to dream of European competition for the first time since 1995.

The focus for the second half of the campaign is keeping his squad together, with the potential for some new arrivals, alongside pressure to sell key players this month.

As per reports from the Nottingham Post, midfield duo Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White are attracting interest from rival EPL teams, but the club will block any offers at least until the summer.

The pair have been crucial in Forest’s first-half of the season, with Gibbs-White netting three EPL goals, and earning himself a senior England debut in September.

With Gibbs-White under contract at the City Ground until 2027, and Anderson tied in until 2029, Forest are under no pressure to sell, but there could be a decision to make at the end of the campaign, if a major transfer offer comes in.
