Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic explains beer plans after Game 7 loss to Thunder

You’ve got to give it to Nikola Jokic — he’s very honest.

The Denver Nuggets superstar center didn’t hold back on his plans for processing a Game 7 loss to the Thunder on Sunday.

”The next couple of days is gonna be a lot of beer probably,” Jokic told reporters at his postgame press conference.

That’s one way to wash off a painful series defeat.

Jokic is the same guy who didn’t want to go to the Nuggets’ championship parade in 2023 because he wanted to be home in Serbia with his horses.

On the court and off, Jokic moves to the beat of his own drum.

Jokic may have had his best statistical regular season, and it might still not be enough to win the MVP over OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Nuggets really didn’t have any business hanging with the Thunder in this series, but led by their generational leader, they took it all the way to a final game.

The Thunder were simply too good on Sunday, though.

Now all Jokic can do is go home and have a couple cold ones.

He won’t get a chance at a second NBA title, and there might be some questions for the Nuggets to answer this offseason.

But regardless of how Jokic unwinds or what happens next, he is already one of the NBA’s all-time greats.
