Novak Djokovic has made his pick for Saturday’s PSG vs Inter UEFA Champions League final, and it’s PSG.
Moments after his straight-sets win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet at Roland-Garros, the tennis star made headlines off the court.
When asked who he’ll support in the final, Djokovic told ESPN in Spanish, “PSG…Because I am a big Milan fan, even if I respect Inter.”
The Serb didn’t stop there. Speaking to reporters in the post-match press conference, he added,
“It’s going to be PSG that I will support. I will definitely watch it if I’m not playing [the] night session.”
Djokovic also urged the French Open organizers to not schedule his match in the evening.

PSG are looking to complete a historic treble after having already won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France. It would be their first Champions League title and the first for a French club since Marseille in 1993.
Inter, on the other hand, are fighting to avoid a trophyless season. The Italian side, the three-time UCL champion, knocked out Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the knockout rounds, but they’ve stumbled domestically, falling short in both Serie A and Coppa Italia.
Djokovic, a lifelong AC Milan fan, has often been seen at the San Siro. Last year, he was even linked with a behind-the-scenes role at AC Milan as a mental coach.
For PSG, it’s history on the line. For Inter, redemption. For Djokovic, it’s personal.
