Larry Fitzgerald’s son Devin committed to Notre Dame on Saturday.
That seems like a big deal, right? And it is.
But it’s not all.
In 2026, the Fighting Irish will have the sons of four NFL stars just in their wide receiver room.
There’s Fitzgerald, whose father Larry is one of the best wide receivers in football history.
Jerome Bettis Jr. is a part of the group. His father, Jerome Sr., was known as “The Bus” as a powerful running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Add in Elijah Burress, the son of Giants great Plaxico Burress.
Bettis and Burress are both already on campus. Along with Fitzgerald, Notre Dame has another 2026 recruit who is an NFL son.
That’s Jaydon Finley, who committed earlier this week. His dad is Jermichael Finley, the great tight end from the Green Bay Packers.
And if that’s not all, Notre Dame’s roster also features Lloyd Carr’s grandson on the QB depth chart, Bryant Young’s son at defensive end and Jim Flanigan’s son at tight end.
Talk about an NFL-level program in college. Marcus Freeman is crushing the recruiting game.
