
NFL teams need to make their final roster cuts to trim down to 53 players for the 2025 season by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
It’s never an easy day for players, coaches, and even fans, but it’s a necessary step as the dawn of a new season approaches.
While Sporting News is once again tracking all the players released by every team here, below are many of the recognizable names who are now free agents looking for jobs to extend their careers.

Quarterbacks
Tyler Huntley, Browns: The former Ravens No. 2 had no chance in that crowded QB room.
Kyle Trask, Buccaneers: They finally moved on from him with Teddy Bridgewater back.
Jake Haener, Saints: He couldn’t get a shot vs. Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough.
Sean Clifford, Packers: The former Penn State star reaches the end of the line.
Sam Hartman, Commanders: Too bad he can’t fall back on being extremely good looking.
Hendon Hooker, Lions: The dream of succeeding Jared Goff is done with Kyle Allen as Detroit’s new No. 2.
Tommy DeVito, Giants: Maybe he can co-star in Jersey Mike’s commericals soon.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Eagles: Philadelphia is trying the post-hype developmental route again, this time with Sam Howell instead of DTR.
Bailey Zappe, Chiefs. He got Zapped by yet another AFC team.
Brett Rypien, Vikings: He was terrible enough to make Minnesota sign Carson Wentz after moving Sam Howell.
Mike White, Bills. Maybe the Patriots will give him a shot to complete his AFC East tour.
Clayton Tune, Cardinals: It might have been his NFL swan song with the birds.
Ben DiNucci, Falcons: He’ll always have that one time starting in Dallas.
Nate Sudfeld, 49ers: He was expected to suddenly fall off their roster.
Bryce Perkins and Jack Plummer, Panthers: They stuck with a different Bryce and … Andy Dalton.
Dresser Winn, Rams: Turns out all he does isn’t his last name.
Adrian Martinez, Jets: UFL now stands for unsigned football legend.
Kyle McCord, Eagles: The Eagles gave the former Ohio State and Syracuse starter a shot, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Logan Woodside, Steelers: The former Titan is out from another team.
Desmond Ridder, Bengals: It wasn’t meant to be in Cincinnati for a second time.
Shane Buechele, Bills: The former Texas starter also was let go in Buffalo.
