Manchester United may be facing a summer shake-up — and it’s not just about transfers coming in.
Rising star Alejandro Garnacho has found himself at the center of a storm after a heated exchange with head coach Ruben Amorim.
Tensions boiled over following United’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham. Garnacho, who had played a key role throughout the competition, was left on the bench until the final 20 minutes.
That decision didn’t sit well with the Argentine winger, who made his feelings known to the media afterward.
“Up until the final, I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don’t know,” Garnacho told reporters. “The final will influence [my decision]… I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards.”
Those words, it seems, were the final straw for Amorim.

What Ruben Amorim reportedly said to Garnacho?
According to reports (via Daily Mail), Amorim addressed the situation in front of the entire squad at Carrington.
The Portuguese manager didn’t mince words, reportedly telling Garnacho: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you.”
It’s the kind of statement that usually signals the end of the road — and there appears to be no way back for the young winger at Old Trafford.
Garnacho was left out of the squad entirely for United’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa just days after his comments.
Napoli are now believed to be interested in the 20-year-old, and with Garnacho out of favor, a summer move looks likely.
It’s a familiar scene for United fans. Marcus Rashford experienced a similar falling out with Amorim earlier this year, which led to a loan spell at Aston Villa.
Add Antony’s expected exit and a summer clearout seems to be underway.
Still, United aren’t just trimming the squad — they’re loading up, too. Wolves forward Matheus Cunha is close to signing, and Ipswich standout Liam Delap is also on the radar.
Red Devils fans, buckle up. This summer could be as dramatic as a last-minute VAR check.
