NHL live streams: How to watch hockey games without cable in 2025-26 season

The offseason is finally over, and the 2025-26 NHL season has arrived with plenty of intrigue.

The Panthers are looking to become the first team to three-peat since the Islanders won four straight Stanley Cups from 1980-83. There hasn’t been a three-peat in the “Big Four” American sports since the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off the feat from 2000-02.

But Florida won’t be at full strength with Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk sidelined to begin the season. That leaves the door ajar for plenty of other contenders.

Connor McDavid will try to get the Oilers over the hump after signing a two-year extension. Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals are still chasing milestones with Ovechkin closing in on 900 career goals. Mike Sullivan will begin a new era behind the bench for the Rangers. The 2026 Olympics loom in February, too.

The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know about watching the NHL this season, including TV and streaming options for every team.
